Sound Awakening Tribe is a medicine music duo consisting of Mikael Mendoza Naselius and Edward Veem. Their vision is to inspire presence and healing with the help of sounds and musical frequencies.
They travel around the globe studying the art of sound healing, collecting new instruments and learning music and sounds from ancestral cultures. The music is a present exploration of the moment, a blend of shamanic music mantras, tribal and dream-like soundscapes.

All the music we preform is found in the present exploration of the moment, allowing it to unfold and emerge as it is - Here and Now.
It all began in 2020 when Sound Awakening Tribe came about spontaneously without any preconceived notions of what it is or should be. It was a beautiful summer night in Sweden when Mikael and Edward were playing music like so many times before, only this time something new emerged. The music didn’t simply entertain but guided the crowd into a meditative state allowing deep inner journeys to unfold. A journey through sound, awakened an entire room of people to presence.
The experience sparked a quest to understand the art of sound awakening presence. Simple yet complex, it is all about musical frequency, vibration and energy. They began with smaller gatherings of friends and acquaintances, each time gathering new insight and mastery. Now, their medicine music and shamanic music mantras has been preformed at festivals, concerts, ceremonial settings and received by audiences around the world.
In the fall of 2022, they travelled to India to gain ancient wisdom and inspiration. For thousands of years the Indian musical tradition has explored the power of sound and vibration to enlighten and lift the mind, body and spirit. A musical journey that brought them many influences and learnings. Returning from India, they released two new singles “Indigo Child” and “Wisdom Tree” in the spring of 2023. Most recently, they released their DEBUT Live Album “Celebration of Illumination” which was recorded live with an audience at SoundTrade Studios in Stockholm. Listen to the full Album Here.
